Background – The British Council's thought leadership:
The British Council is the United Kingdom's international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. Our work in higher education and science in Brazil extends and strengthens the connections between the UK and our country through the engagement with the UK and local government to identify mutually beneficial areas for collaboration, remove barriers and facilitate partnerships and mobility between our higher education sectors.
We work with institutions in the UK and Brazil to enable the exchange of learning and ideas and the formation of partnerships that benefit individuals, the institutions themselves and wider society. The British Council also does research on global trends and opportunities in higher education. Covering topics such as student mobility, transnational education and partnership development, our data tools, analysis and research reports help professionals worldwide to plan their international activities and spot market opportunities more effectively.
Session outline:
The session will share a roadmap to TNE and international Education, based on research and insight raised by British Council in the Americas, with a focus on Brazil. The session will share key pointers to advance on this agenda and allow the opportunity for participants to reflect on the opportunities, barriers, and possibilities to move forward their internationalisation and TNE strategies. The workshop also builds capacities to incorporate the roadmap into the practical experience of international educators, leads and managers from the sector.
